Rajesh (R. J.) Jyotishi
President and CEO
Rajesh Jyotishi, also known as R.J., joined the insurance and financial services industry in 1991 with New York Life. Within a short time, he realized that in order to provide his clientele with the most competitive products on the market, he must represent many other providers. Each company had its own strengths and niche products. In 1993, he started his own practice as a sole proprietor. He formed Shalin Financial Services in 1994—named after his oldest son Shalin, meaning modest or humble—with the fundamental objective to provide our clients with a competitive range of insurance and investment products from many companies.
Over the years, Rajesh has assisted thousands of individuals and business owners with insurance, investments and financial planning needs.
This was before the internet had made it easy for the consumers to find the lowest rates.
Rajesh is also the founder of Khabar, a popular magazine for the Asian Indian community of Georgia with a readership of about 90,000. Khabar means news in most of the many Indian dialects. The digital edition can be located at www.khabar.com . Rajesh also hosts the “Moneywise” section of Khabar, which has been widely received. Many of the articles on this website are reprints from “Moneywise” columns.
Rajesh received his undergraduate degree in business administration from Georgia State University. He has also completed numerous professional designation courses: Certifed Estate Planner (CEP), Master Certified Estate Planner (MCEP), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC), and Life Underwriter’s Training Coucil (LUTC). He also finished the Financial Planning program at Oglethorpe University. However, he does not currently hold any of the designations mentioned above for many personal reasons. Originally from Bombay, India, Rajesh has lived in Atlanta since 1974. He has been a member of the Dunwoody Rotary Club since 2005. Rajesh is also a registered representative and a investment advisor representative of SII Investments; a Registered Investment Advisor; a Member of FINRA, SIPC.
Pari Jyotishi
Pari, married to Rajesh since 1991, joined Shalin Financial in 1999 to assist him in serving their clients. Originally, from Ahmedabad, India, Pari has a B. S. in Economics and Psychology, and an M. S. in Law.
Kirit Gandhi
Originally from Bombay, India, Kirit has resided in Atlanta for nearly four decades. A pioneer of the Indian Community, he is a founding member of IACA, ICRC and Gujarati Samaj. Kirit is Georgia Tech Engineering graduate (B.S. and M.S.) who has enjoyed may successful years in the technical field. A Registered Life and Health Insurance Agent, Kirit has been associated with Shalin Financial since 2004 while providing fulltime guidance and services to individuals and businesses in the area of Insurance and Financial wellbeing.
Beat Schindler
After graduating with a degree in business administration and serving in his country’s armed forces, Beat decided to get his “Ph D in Life” by traveling the world fulltime. His two-year journey took him throughout Africa, the Mediterranean, the Americas and India. Along the way, he worked a variety of jobs. His travels completed, he embarked on a 22-year corporate career with the world’s second largest computer firm, followed by four years in management consulting. In 1999, he left corporate America to become an independent producer in financial services. Believing that anyone who blooms at all—ever—is very lucky, and knowing firsthand about the power of transformation, Beat helps people to achieve the life of their dreams. He specializes The father of two, Beat is a native of Switzerland and a U.S. citizen. He has lived and worked in Alpharetta, Georgia, since 1997. An active board member for many years with the Swiss-American Society and the Alpharetta chapter of Kiwanis International, he is also a volunteer with North Fulton Senior Services/Meals On Wheels and other non-profit organizations.
Pavittar Safir, CFP ®
Pavittar is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ Professional
Pavittar has extensive background in financial planning, insurance and portfolio management. He retired as chairman of a structured settlement company and executive vice president of a reinsurance services company. He has over thirty years experience in insurance, annuities, reinsurance and tailored made solutions for individual needs.
As a member of the Rotary club, Pavittar enjoys working on various community service projects here and abroad that help the underprivileged live a better life.

Jennifer Stucky
Jennifer began her career in 1995 with Great-West Employee Benefits after graduating with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia’s Business School. In 2001, Jennifer moved to the broker side of the benefits industry, prompted by her desire to provide her clients with a larger array of creative benefit solutions. She joined The A.I. Group in 2003 to provide HR Professionals with additional resources that assist them in the administration of their benefit plans and continues to provide her clients with unique and innovative consulting, products and services.
In addition to her work with The A.I. Group, Jennifer is a member of The Society of Human Resource Management and the Atlanta Association of Health Underwriters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, attending UGA football games, and playing tennis. She has worked with Rajesh for mutual clients for more than 10 years.
Erin Dudley
Erin works with the A. I. Group alongside Jennifer and assists our clients with their day-to-day employee benefits needs. Erin has operated in Employee Benefits for almost 30yrs. She began her career as a medical claim examiner and moved to customer service in the 1980s. Erin has also worked on the carrier side for several years and joined the A. I. Group in 2004. She is an account executive for both group medical and 401(k) plans.
Melissa Harris
Melissa Harris graduated from Pellissippi State Technical Institute in 2001 with an associates of Applied Science. She worked as HR Manager for a large hospitality company before joining Jennifer Stucky and Erin Dudley at The A.I.Group in 2006. Melissa assists our clients as the Group Benefits Marketing Manager.
